The Graduate Students’ Association for the Energy and Environmental Specialization (GEES) is the student-led association for all students enrolled in ISEEE’s Energy and Environmental Systems Specialization graduate program. GEES is officially recognized as a Departmental Graduate Association by the University of Calgary’s Graduate Students’ Association. Our bylaws are available here.
GEES plans, organizes and delivers events, activities and other initiatives for the benefit of ISEEE’s graduate students. This includes the annual ISEEE Energy and Environmental Systems Seminar Series, which presents technical seminars from visiting scholars and from ISEEE-affiliated University of Calgary faculty every week during the fall and winter academic terms
This is a Blog designed and updated by the Graduate Students Association for the Energy and Environmental System Specialization (GEES) to keep students in the Specialization with the Institute for Sustainable Energy, Environment, and Economy (ISEEE) at the University of Calgary informed and updated with upcoming events. It’s also designed so that students can interact on a common platform and easily give feedback, input, and ideas on what the GEES put together. The BloGEES, as an extension of the (pretty awesome) GEES, is intended to extend opportunities for you to engage more easily with us and with eachother in a snazzy way. Currently, we are using the DiGEESt for weekly email updates, and this may change over to the blog so that there’s an archive of what we do and what we are planning.
Questions? Comments? Concerns?! (Well ok not concerns, those are more difficult to deal with, but the former two are fine). Keep ‘em coming!! More content will be put here as our activities (and abilities to understand how this whole blog dealy works) evolve
